Can you tell what this says?
Morgan's first day of pre-school went really well. She was very excited about her big day and ready to go with her new cupcake backpack. When I picked her up after her first day she was happy to see me, and very tired! She told me all about her day on the way to swimming lessons. She told me about the boy in the green shirt that was crying for his mommy, and about the loud kids on the playgroung, lol. She told me her favorite part of the day was snack (she couldn't tell me what the snack was, just that it was rolly and she had to be careful so they didn't fall on the floor), and that she had a cookie for lunch. All in all I think she had a pretty good day!
This week grandma Buetler, Gary, Linda, Ben, Morgan, Cannon, and I all made our way to Destin, Florida for a week of fun in the sun. The kids had a blast and both of them learned so much while we were there. Cannon learned how to pick up toys, cooed a whole lot more, and blew razzberries for the first time. Morgan got really comfortable in the pool, learning new tricks. We cooked in most nights which was wonderful, and played at the beach during the day. Ben and I did have several opportunites to go out for a few hours after the kids went to bed, and that was fun. One night we met up with one of Ben's high school friends, Robbie and his wife, that is stationed at the air force base here in Destin. Overall we had a great vacation. Here are just a few of the pictures we took while we were there.
This week Morgan really warmed up to what she has been learning in swim class. She now goes all the way under water and jumps in! It's so fun to see her learning and having a good time.
Happy 4th of July on the beach!

Daddy and Morgan
So all summer Ben and I have been trying to teach Morgan how to jump in the pool, put her face in the water, and float on her back. Every time it ends the same way, with Morgan screaming and crying. Not good. So needless to say we were worried about how she would act for the teacher in swimming class. I always find it funny how kids will do things for their teachers that they will not do for their parents, and being a teacher I see it on the other end all the time. When it came time for Morgan to jump in, go under water, and float on her back, she did everything the teacher asked with no tears! In fact, she was jumping up and down in the water and laughing the entire time. So fun! When I asked her what her favorite part was she replied, "jumping in!"
Morgan's friend from the library just happens to be in the swim class too!
