Rest in Peace Marley
Marley was the BIGGEST little dog there ever was. Ben and I got Marley 8 days after we married in 2003. He was a wedding gift to ourselves, and he brought so much happiness to our lives. He was our baby before we had babies, and we loved him so much. Marley had many health problems throughout his life including ulcers in his eyes and loss of tear production. From the time he was 2 he was on daily medication. Then about 3 years ago Marley was diagnosed with diabetes after having a diabetic seizure. So another medication was added to his list. Taking care of Marley was a challenge, but we loved him so much we had no other choice. Slowly over the past year Marley's body began to deteriorate and he was loosing control of his bowels, and was frequently sick. Ben and I had to make the very difficult decision to have Marley put down. I handled it much better than Ben, but I think that the only reason is because Ben was the one who took Marley to the vet and spent his last moments with him.
It took Morgan several days to notice him missing, I guess because even when Marley was alive he was so tired. When Morgan did ask about him we just explained that Marley went to doggy heaven to be with Jesus because he wasn't feeling well. That Marley felt much better now that he was with Jesus. Morgan asked where Jesus was and we told her up in heaven and I pointed to the sky. Then in Morgan's very sweet 3 year old voice she asked, "Can we take a rocket ship up to see him?" It's so hard to explain death to a child, I think I am glad she doesn't totally understand.

FuN TiMeS!
Morgan playing on the tablet, good Saturday morning fun.
Morgan keeps drawing this same picture over and over again. I think it looks like a cute robot.
Why do they ALWAYS go for the remote? Oh and my cell phone.

Morgan put the pink stocking cap on him...and he was chewing on the princess crown. I guess this is what happens when you have an older sister, poor guy, lol.
